GNOME Extensions

Extensions developed for the Gnome Shell can be installed via https://extensions.gnome.org after installing the Gnome[] Shell Extensions for the browser and installing the system package to support Gnome Shell extensions within the browser:

$ wajig install chrome-gnome-shell
Extensions can also be managed from the GNOME Tweak tool.

Desktop Icons by rastersoft can be used to add icons to the desktop.

Frippery Move Clock by rmyorston will move the clock to the left of the status menu button.

OpenWeather by jens is a weather extension to display weather information from https://openweathermap.org/ or https://darksky.net for almost all locations in the world.

Panel Date Format by KEIII allows the customisation of the date format on the panel. See the Gnome Date Time Format Specifiers for details of the format string. Once the extension is enabled the date/time format can be changed:

dconf write /org/gnome/shell/extensions/panel-date-format/format "'%A %Y%m%d %H:%M:%S'"

Sound Input & Output Device Chooser by kgshank adds options to the status menu on the top right of the panel to select the output and input devices in addition to the volume.
