20190509 There are many options available for using GNU/Linux. We concentrate on Ubuntu, a derivative of Debian, primarily because of its ease of setup and it being widely available, particularly on Microsoft's Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) where Ubuntu is available out of the box. In this chapter we will concentrate on getting started with Ubuntu through WSL, which for most people who run Windows (Windows 10 specifically) is the simplest way to access GNU/Linux.
