World Wide Web

The World Wide Web is often confused with the Internet. The World Wide Web is in fact the collection of web sites that we have created as a whole world community using the hyper text transfer protocol (HTTP) and the hyper text markup language (HTML) that was developed by Tim Berners-Lee of CERN. The Internet is the overall collection of protocols and infrastructure that connects us all digitally.
