27.5 View Maildir Folder
An archived email folder in Maildir
format will have three subdirectories, cur, new, and tmp. If for
example the directory
.conferences.pakdd08 contains such
subdirectories it is likely to be a Maildir format mail folder.
To view the contents of the mail archive use mutt:
$ mutt -f .conferences.pakdd08
Mutt will usually checl for Mail in your homew folder and ask to create an empty folder if none exists. It is okay to do so.
