Files from your Windows C: drive, for example, can be accessed from Ubuntu as /mnt/c. Thus if you have a photo on the C: drive (at the root of the C: drive) called myphoto.jpg, and you have installed the MLHub azcv package (as below), then within Ubuntu:

$ ml install azcv
$ ml faces azcv /mnt/c/myphoto.jpg

Accessing the Windows file system is considerably faster on WSL than it is with WSL2 with some users reporting 2 to 8 times faster!
